CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
CLOSURE OF SOUTH 4TH STREET FROM ELAINE AVENUE TO COUNTRY CLUB DRIVE (FRIDAY/SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 6-7, 2020)
AND COUNTRY CLUB DRIVE WEST OF S. 4TH STREET (FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 6, 2020)
R & G Construction Co. will be closing the entire segment of S. 4th Street between Elaine Avenue and Country Club Drive, including intersections on Friday and Saturday, November 6-7, 2020. Duininck will be placing asphalt pavement on various areas of the roadway throughout the two days. No traffic will be allowed to pass through this area at that time. The intersections should be re-opened to crossing traffic at the end of the working day on Saturday, weather permitting.
On Friday, the Street Department will be detouring westbound traffic on Country Club Drive over onto College Drive to County Road 7 (Airport Road) to accommodate pavement repair work just west of the intersection of S. 4th Street and Country Club Drive. This roadway should be re-opened to traffic by the end of the working day on Friday.
Construction on South 4th Street is anticipated to continue through the next week. Please plan an alternate route and expect some traffic delays in the surrounding areas.
