ONLINE APPLICATION PROCESS

You can now apply online by clicking on the employment opportunities links below, choose the job title you are interested in, and click on the "Apply" link.  If this is the first time you are using our online job application, you will need to create an account.  After your account is established, you have the ability to save your information to apply for more than one job opening or apply for additional jobs in the future.  Online applications are stored on a secure site.  Only authorized employees and hiring authorities have access to the information submitted.

If you need access to a free public computer, you may visit:

  • the Marshall-Lyon County Library at 201 C Street or any public library
  • CareerForce, located in the Lyon County Government Center at 607 West Main Street in Marshall.

The City of Marshall accepts applications for open positions only.  Applications will be maintained on file for one year from date of receipt.  A completed Employment Application is required for all positions.  For some positions, a cover letter, resume, and/or supplemental questionnaire may also be required.  Please review each job carefully for required application materials.  It is important that your application is complete and includes all relevant education and experience you possess.  Applications may be rejected if incomplete.  Applications received after the posted deadline will not be considered.  Questions may be directed to Human Resources at (507) 537-6790 or HR@ci.marshall.mn.us.

All candidates for employment will be required to submit to a criminal history background check. Some positions may also require a pre-employment physical exam, a psychological exam, a drug screen, a driving record check, and reference checks to determine suitability for employment.
