Complete Count Committee

2020 CENSUS COMPLETE COUNT COMMITTEETHE CITY OF MARSHALL AND THE 2020 CENSUSThe U.S. Census counts every resident in the United States. As mandated by the U.S. Constitution, America gets just one chance each decade to count its population. The data collected by the decennial census determines the number of seats each state has in the U.S. House of Representatives and is also used to distribute billions in federal funds to local communities.

Achieving an accurate census count is imperative for our democracy. To ensure that the 2020 Census accurately counts Marshall’s residents, the city is taking steps to establish a community-led Complete Count Committee to guide the engagement campaign.
